Beauty from Ashes: American Indian Art as Witness to American History

Seminole Patchwork

Join Sandra Starr, an art historian, curator, and scholar of American Indian art. Her interest in the history of Florida, and the art and art history of the Western Hemisphere, led her to the Smithsonian Institution where she assisted in the grand opening of the National Museum of the American Indian.

This program is a partnership between Florida Humanities and Broward Public Library Foundation. Funding for this program was provided by Florida Humanities and sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture.
