Program Description:

Book + Art is a series that connects the public with reading and visual arts. For October the featured pairing is “The Hollywood Daughter,” by Kate Alcott and Coming Soon: Film Posters From the Dwight M. Cleveland Collection. Kate Alcott’s Hollywood coming-of-age novel references Ingrid Bergman’s real-life affair with Roberto Rossellini as the catalyst for her biggest fan to reconsider everything she was raised to believe. The book discussion is paired with a tour of the Norton Museum’s special exhibition of rare film posters. Attendees may visit their local library branch to check out a copy of the book.
