BookMania! 2024: Thriller and Suspense

BookMania! 2024 hosts authors Daby Kane, Armando Lucas Correa, Ana Reyes, and Megan Collins for a panel all about thrillers and suspense novels. Moderated by career bookseller Amanda Brack, the authors discuss themes of secrecy, family loyalty, and marriage, and how to craft the perfect suspenseful plot. Darby Kane is a former trial attorney and #1 international bestseller of domestic suspense. Her debut book, Pretty Little Wife , was featured in numerous publications, including The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, and more. Armando Lucas Correa is an award-winning journalist, editor, author, and the recipient of several awards from the National Hispanic Publications and the Society of Professional Journalism. He is the author of the international bestseller The German Girl , which is now being published in seventeen languages. Ana Reyes is the New York Times bestselling author of Reese’s Book Club pick The House in the Pines. She has an MFA from Louisiana State University and teaches creative writing. Megan Collins is the author of Thicker than Water, The Family Plot, Behind the Red Door, and The Winter Sister. She is the managing editor of 3Elements Literary Review.

Since its inception in 1995, BookMania! has hosted over 450 emerging and best-selling authors, attracting participants from all over the United States. All panels will be recorded and shared on Martin County Library System’s YouTube page after the festival.
