Desde la Inquisicion Espanola hasta Miami: Historias personales de Hispanos en Miami/ From the Spanish Inquisition to Miami: Personal Stories of Hispanics in Miami, will be moderated by scholar Genie Milgrom and focus on Florida’s lesser- known Jewish history, the “Converso” community. Individuals who were born as Catholics but who have returned to their Sephardi-Jewish roots before the 1492 Spanish Inquisition through cultural and spiritual practice will tell of their experience.

Sephardi Voices is the first comprehensive digital audio-visual archive that documents and preserves the life stories of Jews that lived in Islamic lands.
This program was funded through a Florida Humanities Community Program Grant in partnership with Sephardi Voices.
