English for Families at Haines City Public Library

The Haines City Public Library is hosting English for Families programming once a week for ten weeks in person from February 11 through April 29, 2023. The program includes interactive classes for adults and children that focus on developing English vocabulary and literary skills through strategic and fun story reading. Programming is designed to improve the language proficiency of individuals whose native language is not English by providing essential reading strategies needed for success in the classroom and workforce.

This English for Families program is a partnership between Florida Humanities and Haines City Public Library. Funding for this program was provided by Florida Humanities and sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support is provided by the Friends of Haines City Public LIbrary.

Registration is required to attend. Programming will occur in the library’s community room. Parking is available in front of the library on 6th street and behind the library on 7th street.
