FAM: Nonprofit Board Roles and Responsibilities for Newbies and “Seasoned” Volunteer Leaders

May 30 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Whether you have been in a board seat for 20 years, considering the opportunity to become a volunteer leader, or are a CEO or Executive Director supporting a board, this session with Brynne Anne Besio explains the responsibilities of nonprofit boards of directors, their partnership with the CEO or Executive Director and the individual responsibilities that should be carefully considered. Brynne Anne Besio, CFRE, combines more than 35 years of leadership experience within a variety of nonprofit sectors (health care, human services and arts and culture). Most recently she was the CEO of The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature in Bradenton, Florida where in her 13+-year tenure she facilitated a 100% growth in budget, oversaw a rebranding process, spearheaded an 18-million-dollar capital campaign for expansion, and built a robust annual fund program from scratch. Brynne Anne is currently working as a consultant with Carter Global and helps nonprofits with fundraising strategy, visioning and strategic planning, interim CEO leadership, governance counsel and CEO coaching.

Registration for this event is required to attend. Support for this virtual event was provided through a grant from Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
