Female Superheroes

An examination of the perceptions of women in popular culture through comic books and how this culture has changed over time.

Magdalena Lamarre is a professor at Miami Dade College and the co-creater of the film Forging New Lives After Hurricane Maria: Puerto Rican Student Voices.

This event is funded by Florida Humanities’ Florida Talks program in partnership with the Pampano Beach Historical Society.
