Feminist Black Literature

Broward County Library presents a dynamic program that delves into the profound impact of black feminist literature with Dr. Marina Magloire as part of their Scholar Speakers Series. Curated by a distinguished scholar of African American and diasporic literature, this program aims to spark engaging discussions and highlight the transformative power of black feminist literature. Dr. Marina Magloire is a black feminist scholar of African American and diasporic literature. Her current book project explores the influence of Afro-Caribbean spirituality on black American women writers and performers in the twentieth century.

Registration is suggested but not required to attend. Attendees who complete a survey will be entered into a giveaway. Must be present to win. Funding for this speaker series is provided in part through a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with the Broward Public Library Foundation. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the National Endowment for the Humanities.
