Floridanos, Menorcans, Cattle-Whip Crackers: Poetry of Saint Augustine
Join St. Augustine’s literary local, author Ann Browning Masters, for an entertaining evening of poetry and prose. This engaging presentation of content from Dr. Browning Master’s book “Floridanos, Menorcans, Cattle-Whip Crackers: Poetry of St. Augustine” is designed to be part of “Creative St. Augustine: Enlightened Artists, Literary Locals, and Historic Heroes of the Ancient City.” Poetry from this collection has been published in anthologies and journals, and read at conferences, festivals, and recorded for the Florida State Historical Archives. This special reading and book discussion will include light refreshments and is offered during St. Augustine’s beautiful Nights of Lights. Following the speaker’s presentation and question and answer opportunity, Dr. Masters will be on hand for a book signing. Reservations are required.
