From Segregation to Desegregation: The History of Jones High School in Orlando, 1880-2018″

This talk will address the history of Jones High School and segregated black education in Florida and the effort to desegregate public education in Central Florida. The Jones High School Historical Society created an online digital exhibit to promote the history of the school and the larger stories of black education before desegregation and after. Dr. Robert Cassanello from the University of Central Florida will be the speaker to talk about the history of the school and the development of the exhibit.
