Genocide in the 20th & 21st Centuries Public Webinar

November 14, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education / Florida Press Educational Services is hosting a webinar panel discussion to present new curriculum that examines the Holocaust and other genocides. Holocaust Education Week in Florida is held annually the second week in November, which coincides with the anniversary of Kristallnacht on Nov. 9-10, 1938. The new curriculum supplement, “Genocide in the 20th & 21st Centuries: Historical and Cultural Perspectives” and complementary programming was developed through the lens of survivor residents in Florida. The curriculum examines the cultural, religious, societal, historical, economic and political factors that lead to genocide.

The development of “Genocide in the 20th & 21st Centuries: Historical and Cultural Perspectives” curriculum and related programming is funded in part through a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant in partnership with Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education / Florida Press Educational Services.
