Honoring Asian American Heritage and Culture

May 4 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Orange County Regional History Center is hosting a celebration of Central Florida’s vibrant Asian American community through an exploration of traditional dance with performances by the Chinese American Association of Central Florida, Thuyen May Productions, and LTR Indian Dance. The program will have an introduction, led by Dr. Lanlan Kuang, in which the rich history and importance of performance art within the Asian diaspora will be considered. Come out for a day filled with music, dance, and hands-on activities to captivate guests of all ages. Admission to this event is free.

Registration is suggested but not required. Funding for this program is provided through Community Project Grant from Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with Historical Society of Central Florida, Inc.. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the National Endowment for the Humanities.
