Let’s Talk Reparations
November 9, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

“Let’s Talk Reparations” is a nonpartisan, interactive, lively, and multi-cultural panel discussion that will explore how we understand and talk about reparations. This discussion will focus on uplifting the repair work of slavery’s effects, and exploring various avenues for reparations for the people who overcame slavery and their generations that followed.
Telling the Reparations’ story through an inclusive lens, we will analyze how repairing can be achieved through many different avenues including historic preservation, establishing a new role for reparations in our society today. This virtual event will be streamed live via Facebook and at our website at youngperformingartists.org.
This program is funded in part through a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant in partnership with Young Performing Artists, Inc.
