MEMBERSHIP EVENT: Once Upon a Time in Florida: Curating the Anthology

December 12, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Florida Humanities for a special members-only online event to celebrate the release of Once Upon a Time in Florida: Stories of Life in the Land of Promises. The new book marks Florida Humanities’ 50th anniversary with a collection of 50 timeless stories from FORUM, the award winning magazine of Florida Humanities.

As part of a statewide book tour, Jacki Levine, the anthology’s editor, reunites with Executive Director Nashid Madyun and anthology designer Louise O’Farrell. During this exclusive member event, the conversation will look in-depth at the creation of the anthology. Members will explore the history of FORUM, the creative processes of making the anthology, and other fun behind-the-scenes stories.

To become a member and learn how you can register for this, and future, member-only events, contact Membership Coordinator Mara Utterback at [email protected].
