One Nation Under God: Religion’s Impact on the U.S.: Jewish Life in the South with Sylvia Gurinsky

The Jewish Council of North Central Florida is hosting a lecture with Sylvia Gurinsky as part of their lecture series “One Nation Under God: Religion’s Impact on the United States.” Ms. Gurinsky shares how Jews in the South distinguished themselves in shaping and re-shaping the South.
A Native South Floridian, Sylvia Gurinsky is a history educator and guide for Flamingo Gardens, the Miami-Dade County Women’s Park, Florida International University, and Nova Southeastern University. She co-hosts the television series Roadside Florida
Funding for this lecture series is provided in part through a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with The Jewish Council of North Central Florida.
