Opening Reception for “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America”

July 20 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join the Matheson Museum of History for a ribbon cutting, refreshments, and tour of Voices and Votes: Democracy in America on view through September 7. The museum will be open to the public 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and visitors are welcome to stop by to tour the exhibit any time during those hours. The grand ribbon cutting and remarks will be held at 2 pm.

Parking is available in the museum’s parking lot and on the evenings and weekends next door at the Law Offices of Attorneys Folds and Walker and at the Alachua County Public Schools District Office. Voices and Votes: Democracy in America is part of Museum on Main Street , a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and Florida Humanities. Support for the local exhibition and programming was provided through a grant from Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the National Endowment for the Humanities.
