Post-Show Talkback: Cuban American Biculturalism in Maria Irene Fornes’ Life and Work

In this conversation, Dr. Lillian Manzor, Associate Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures at University of Miami, illuminates the cultural differences and intersections between the United States and Cuba with emphasis on how biculturalism shaped Fornes’ life and work. The discussion is moderated by Dr. Nicole Stodard, Adjunct Professor at NSU. The talkback will take place directly following the 2 p.m. matinee performance of Tango Palace by Maria Irene Fornes in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Registration is suggested but not required to attend.

Funding for these talkback programs are provided in part through a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with Thining Cap Theatre.
