ReadOut 2023: Creating Queer Trans Literature

February 18, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

ReadOut 2023

ReadOut 2023 and the LGBTQ Resource Center of Gulfport Public Library presents authors Jamison Green and Zader Keig in conversation about Queer Trans men’s literature. Jamison and Zader’s decades-long involvement in educating and supporting individuals across the transgender community offers unique insight into the challenges and benefits of aligning one’s gender identity with their physical presentation. Jamison Green, PhD, is a writer of fiction and nonfiction, best known for his award winning, twice-published memoir Becoming a Visible Man. In addition to his work as an author, Zander Keig (LCSW) was named Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers in 2020.

Funding is provided in part through a Florida Humanities Book Festival Grant with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with the Gulfport Public Library. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the National Endowment for the Humanities. Registration is suggested but not required to attend. Free parking is available at the library.
