ReadOUT 2024: LGBTQ Literature that Educates, Celebrates, and Inspires

The LGBTQ Resource Center in Gulfport presents “ReadOUT 2024, LGBTQ Literature that Educates, Celebrates, and Inspires.” Now in its seventh year, the festival offers onsite workshops that focuses on LGBTQ and BIPOC stories, live author panels on genres from romance to sci-fi and prerecorded readings, and a keynote discussion with multiple award-winning author Lynn Ames. Additional participating authors include JJ Arias, Macon Leigh, Elle Ire, Kristen Zimmer, Virginia Black, Kat Jackson, Barbara Wright, and more!

The festival will be livestreamed via Zoom. Pre-registration through Eventbrite is strongly encouraged. An attendance fee of $10 is required and good for all events both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for evening add-on events are available through Eventbrite. Free parking is available at the venue and surrounding street parking. Coffee is provided each morning for attendees. A food truck is available onsite throughout the day along with merchandise vendors.

Funding is provided in part through a Florida Humanities Book Festival Grant with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with the the LGBTQ Resource Center of Gulfport.
