Everybody Leaves (2015), an adaptation of a novel by Wendy Guerra, travels to the 1970s and introduces us to the politics of the Cuban Revolution and how the ideological repression worked on every little aspect of daily life up to the point of suffocation, making the Cubans leave the island in search of a more luminous present. Screening will be presented and followed by Q&A session led by Richard Denis, PhD student at Florida International University. Screening in Spanish with English subtitles. Discussion in English.
