St. Lucie County Environmental Resources Department’s Guided Nature Programs- Oxbow Eco-Center Preserve

Oxbow Eco-Center Preserve

Join us on one of St. Lucie County’s free and award-winning guided nature programs. In conjunction with the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street Water/Ways exhibit, we are proud to offer 4 programs that highlight the importance of water. To register or for more information, please visit www.slchikes.org, call 772-462-2536, or email [email protected] Oxbow Eco-Center Preserve: A River Runs Beside It Hike This 225-acre site was acquired as part of the Save Our Rivers fund due to its proximity to the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Oxbow’s ecosystems and learn about the natural history of the North Fork while exploring a hilly river trail.

Water/Ways and its complementary programs will serve as a community meeting place to convene conversations about water’s impact on American culture. It’s part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and Florida Humanities. Support for the exhibition and programming was provided through a grant from Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
