Cancelled! St. Pete By the Book – A Launch Party for the Historic St. Petersburg Self-Guided Tour Book

March 31, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Princess Martha, St. Petersburg, FL

A fun event where you are bound to learn a few new things about St. Petersburg’s past as Preserve the ‘Burg launches its revised second printing of the Historic St. Petersburg Self-Guided Walking Tour Booklet. It’s a publication made possible, in part, with a grant from Florida Humanities.

The event takes place inside one of St. Pete’s most striking landmark buildings of the 1920’s boom era, downtown’s Princess Martha, built in 1924 as the Mason Hotel. The evening will include time to talk and meet new friends while you nosh on appetizers from the Princess Martha’s dining room. We’ll then settle in for a virtual romp through the new guide book, narrated by your favorite Preserve the ‘Burg tour guides and punctuated by anecdotes of favorite St. Pete buildings from some popular local leaders in the arts, politics and history.

Go home with a copy or two of the new Historic St. Petersburg Self-Guided Walking Tour Book and impress your friends with all of your newfound knowledge of St. Pete’s greatest buildings!

This event and project is funded in part by a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant, in partnership with Preserve the ‘Burg.
