St. Pete Reads! Lit Fest: Granny’s Vintage Camera with Jasmine Paul

November 4 @ 2:15 pm - 3:00 pm

St. Pete Reads! Lit Fest welcomes author Jasmine Paul for a reading and discussion of her book Granny’s Vintage Camera . The story follows Kass who is saving for an instant camera and uses her grandmother’s vintage camera in the meantime. Young readers follow Kass on her journey as she learns the real meaning of value and responsibility. Following the reading, readers can participate in a financial literacy activity. Jasmine Paul is the author of A Boy, A Budget, and a Dream and Granny’s Vintage Camera . Her love for entrepreneurship sparked as she watched her grandmother own her seamstress business and became a shampoo girl in her aunt’s hair salon. During the day, she serves as an officer in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Funding is provided in part through a Florida Humanities Book Festival Grant with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with the Cultured Book Literacy Foundation. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the National Endowment for the Humanities.
