Sunshine State Book Festival

January 24, 2020 @ 4:00 pm

Santa Fe College, Fine Arts Building

For 250 years, North Central Florida has been both a home and an inspiration for generations of writers. Now, the Sunshine State Book Festival will shine a spotlight on the amazing literary history of the region. Over a 3-day period, January 24 through January 26, 2020, the Writers Alliance of Gainesville and Santa Fe College will host the debut of the festival. More than 75 authors will be helping us to bring readers and writers together. The Sunshine State Book Festival, which is organized by the Writers Alliance of Gainesville, includes three days of events beginning with a “meet and greet” reception on Friday, January 24 at the Matheson History Museum, a readers and authors festival hosted by Santa Fe College, a program of seven renowned scholars/authors on Saturday, January 25, and a literary tour of the area on Sunday, January 26. All events and programs are free and open to the public.
