This enlightening lecture presents an entertaining and educational evening introducing the depth and beauty of the great Yiddish writers. Renowned entertainer and Jewish cultural activist Avi Hoffman, presents an entertaining and educational evening introducing the depth and beauty of the great Yiddish writers. Lecture written by his mother, retired Columbia University professor, author, journalist and playwright, Miriam Hoffman.Through both Yiddish and English poetry and prose, we rediscover the lost treasures of Yiddish culture. Funding for this program was provided through a grant from the Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
