Ti-Kont: Exploring the Untold Story of the Haitian Flags
Ayiti Community Trust will host a storytelling series that draws from Ayiti’s rich storytelling tradition to shape a narrative about the lived experiences of Haitians from all over the globe! What better timing than Art |Basel weekend? In this premier Tikont segment, you will have an opportunity to share your own story as well as acknowledge the good, the controversial, and even the lore associated with the narratives we’ve been told about Ayiti’s flags. Join us for a curated experience that will include an exhibit of all of Ayiti’s flags to date, truthful conversations, food, live music & dance, painting, cooking demonstration and more. This program is funded in part through a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant i partnership with the Ayiti Community Trust.
