Voices Unveiled: Lecture and Artistry Series — The Gaza Monologues and Gaza 101 Teach-In

February 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:45 pm

This event is part of the Voices Unveiled: Lecture and Artistry Series presented by 200 Muslim Women Who Care, in partnership with Art2Action. Written by youth from Gaza in 2010 and 2014, The Gaza Monologues were originally created by ASHTAR Theatre (based in Ramallah, Palestine). These monologues will be read in Tampa for the first time by Tampa Bay area artists and community members. Directed by Andrea Assaf, with live music.

Following the reading, there will be refreshments and a Teach-In on the History of Gaza by Zachary Foster, Ph.D. in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University and Fellow at the Rutgers Center for Security and Race and Rights.

Registration is required to attend. Funding for this program was provided through a sponsorship from Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed at this event do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the National Endowment for the Humanities.
