Young Hearts to Arts with Water Stories

November 13, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Water/Ways Docent Tour

Join us on Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens for the Young Hearts to Arts Outdoor Exhibition & Award Show brought to you by the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance. There will be Plein air (artists painting live) with the opportunity for people to share their stories around water and its importance. There will also be live music, dance, mantra rock painting, magic show, youth yoga workshop, and more! This will be a chance to connect to the MoMS Water/Ways Exhibition by sharing your story about how water has affected your life and its importance. Informational posters will be available that describe our waterways in further detail. After coming to this event, visit the Water/Ways exhibition and Clyde Butcher photography at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center.

Water/Ways and its complementary programs will serve as a community meeting place to convene conversations about water’s impact on American culture. It’s part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and Florida Humanities. Support for the exhibition and programming was provided through a grant from Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
