Zora! 2024 Afrofuturism Conference: Closing Keynote

The University of Central Florida Research Foundation hosts the closing keynote address of the 2024 ZORA! conference with Dr. Lonny J. Avi Brooks. Dr. Brooks’ research explores the creation of a robust virtual reality world centering Africana and Indigenous cultures to prototype ideas that can support embodied historical Black towns like Eatonville. He is a Professor of Communications and Faculty Co-Lead for the Long Term and Futures Thinking Project as part of the Center for STEM Education at California State University East Bay.

Funding for this program is provided in part through a Florida Humanities Community Project Grant with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in partnership with ACCORD.
