Upcoming Deadlines and Webinars
Join Florida Humanities staff for a 1-hour webinar that walks attendees through our newest funding opportunity. We will cover book festival basics, eligibility, and strategies to ensure your application is the best it can be!

Florida Talks offers nonprofit organizations an accessible way to host engaging speakers through our speakers’ directory. Speakers present on Florida’s history, heritage, and culture through historical and contemporary lenses.
Deadline:
At least six weeks before program date.
This funding opportunity aims to increase public participation in — and access to — the humanities by providing relevant, engaging, and meaningful humanities-based programming to all. Applicants may request up to $10,000.

Florida Humanities’ Broadcasting Hope Media Grant provides funding to Florida public media stations, nonprofits, cultural organizations, and public institutions to support media projects rooted in the humanities. Request up to $50,000.
Deadline:
August 17 at 12:00 pm EST
Florida Humanities invites public libraries to apply for funding to participate in English for Families program, a multi-week series of interactive classes for parents and children (ages 6-12) that focuses on developing English vocabulary.

August 31 at 12:00 pm EST
Men of Change Smithsonian Exhibit
In partnership with the Smithsonian Institution, Florida Humanities invites proposals from qualifying institutions to host Men of Change: Power. Triumph. Truth. in 2023. This immersive exhibit profiles significant African American men whose journeys have altered the history and culture of our country.
