This blue heron wades in Lake Rowena at Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando, a 50-acre botanical oasis near downtown Orlando. My husband, daughter and I go there every Father’s Day. This year, we carried out our tradition in the company of this fine bird in its heavenly environment.
Elizabeth Randall is a retired public school teacher and the author of five books. She lives in Lake Mary with her husband, Bob.
