On February 11, 2021, the Tallahassee Historical Society hosted a discussion on Florida’s Emancipation Day. The panel included Althemese Barnes, former Executive Director of the John G. Riley House; Clifton Lewis, Curator at the L.B. Brown House and Museum; Jarvis Rosier, Historian at the John G. Riley House; and Diane Williams-Cox, Tallahassee City Commissioner. The discussion was moderated by Bob Holladay, Tallahassee Historical Society President.
