Life in Pinecraft: A Photographic Exhibition
March 1, 2023 – March 31, 2023
New College of Florida
New College of Florida’s Humanities Division is hosting the photographic exhibition “Life in Pinecraft Through the Eyes of Katie Troyer” at College Hall at New College of Florida from March 1 through March 31.
Katie Troyer is one of the most beloved personalities in the Pinecraft community. She grew up in an Amish family in Ohio and, after living in various Amish communities in the US and Canada, she moved to Pinecraft in 2008. One of the roles she plays is that of unofficial photographer of the community. Through her photographs, which she collects on an annual calendar and on her popular Instagram account @Pinecraftblog, Katie shows her perspective on the daily life of the unique Amish and Mennonite community in Sarasota.
