The Apalachicola Center for History, Culture and Art presents the incredible story of Moses Roper in the exhibition "Journey to Freedom: The Odyssey of Abolitionist Moses Roper." Once enslaved on an Apalachicola steamboat, Roper later escaped slavery in a harrowing 500-mile journey of survival across north Florida and south Georgia in 1834.
