Museum on Main Street
The Smithsonian is coming to town! Museum on Main Street (MoMS) is a partnership of the Smithsonian Institution and state humanities councils nationwide. The program brings high-quality traveling exhibits to small towns across the state.
Participating MoMS sites receive:
- A free-standing traveling Smithsonian exhibit
- $5,000 for programming (i.e. – local exhibits, lectures, panel discussions, etc.)
- A comprehensive Smithsonian press kit
- Institutional capacity-building opportunities
- And much more!

We are currently accepting applications to host The Way We Worked exhibit during its 2017 tour of Florida. Participation in the MoMs program has very specific requirements. Click here for eligibility guidelines and current application deadlines.
The MoMS grant has given our museum the opportunity to consider projects that would not be feasible otherwise… Journey Stories reached a high plateau for our institution.
