About Bob

Bob Stone is a folklorist and photographer based in Gainesville. In 2011, the Florida Department of State honored him with the Florida Folk Heritage award in recognition of his outstanding achievements as a lifelong advocate of the folk arts of Florida. He served as co-curator for the exhibition “Florida Cattle Ranching: Five Centuries of Tradition”, which has been viewed by more than 600,000 people. He has written more than 80 feature articles for the Florida Cattleman magazine.
