Join the Museum of Art and Design for a night at the movies when we screen “The Last Days of the Miami News”. This documentary was shot during the last days of operation for the local newspaper, The Miami News. Provided with unlimited access to all areas involved in the publication of the newspaper, film director Mel Kiser captures the final events, thoughts and activities of the staff as they prepare the final issue of the Miami News.

Katharine Labuda, Special Collections & Archives Librarian of Miami Dade-Public Library System, will introduce the film. The director, Mel Kiser, will be in attendance for a Q&A following the film.
