“Play for the Mangroves” — Live Reading Picnic Under the Trees
May 2 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Join Impact.Edition for a special outdoor gathering that brings storytelling, community, and coastal resilience together. As part of their “Live Reading Picnics Under the Trees” series, this event features a reading of their published story “Play for the Mangroves,” highlighting how youth leadership, sports, and environmental education intersect to protect our fragile coastal ecosystems.
Set beneath the shade of the trees at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park, this soul-nourishing morning invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature and one another. Local organizations and individuals working to protect mangrove ecosystems will be part of the gathering, creating an opportunity to learn more about the importance of coastal forests and the collective efforts to safeguard them.
Registration is required. Upon arrival at the event, look for the tent next to the Venetian Bridge, right by the mangroves. Light breakfast refreshments and water will be provided.
