Program Details

This program examines the interactions between humans and manatees in Florida history and culture and how this docile sea mammal has become a Florida icon while its very existence is threatened by human activity. Combining science and history, Dr. Steve Noll looks at how the manatee is important to Florida’s very “hu-manatee”.
